Concept: Because I am an adult woman, the people around me, including both friends and family, expect me to have a baby. This expectation confuses and puts a lot of pressure on me. As a result, I feel that I must have a baby even though I’m not ready in terms of where I am in my life. 

Now I realize that my desire to have babies is similar to my desire to get toys when I was a child. Because everyone else has one, I want one. To satisfy my family’s request and my own desires, I crafted these neon glass babies. The baby reacts to your hand. The piece is an attempt to mock my own shallow idea of giving birth, and it represents the spirit of rebellion against the pressure to conform to society and have children.
